Michael York

York trained at Oxford and with the National Youth Theatre before building a substantial British and international film career through the 1960s and 70s, including prominent roles in acclaimed literary adaptations.

He played Logan 5, a Sandman enforcer who breaks his own society's cardinal rule the moment he actually starts asking what happens after the crystal in your palm turns black. A British stage-trained actor with an already substantial international film career, he brought a restrained, gradually unraveling intensity to the role.

He continued a prolific screen career across genres for decades afterward, moving comfortably between prestige drama, adventure films and later comedic roles.
