Jenny Agutter

Agutter began acting as a child in British boarding-school dramas before breaking through internationally as a teenager, quickly establishing herself as one of the most sought-after young British actresses of her generation.

She played Jessica 6, the runner whose doubts about Carousel set the plot in motion — a role that made her one of the defining British genre actors of the decade. Already a well-established young actress from The Railway Children and Walkabout, she brought a searching, questioning energy to the role.

She later became equally well known for her role in An American Werewolf in London, and has continued a long career across British and American film and television.
