Graeme Revell

Revell began his career as a founding member of the experimental industrial band SPK in the late 1970s, building a reputation in the international avant-garde music scene years before he ever scored a film.

A former industrial musician turned film composer, his score for Strange Days wove industrial textures through the film's turn-of-the-millennium dread. He transitioned into a prolific career scoring film and television following his years in experimental music.

His industrial-music background gave his scores an unusually harsh, textured electronic quality distinct from more traditional orchestral composers of the era, a sound that became something of a signature across his film-scoring career.
