Gabriel Luna
Actor
b. 1982 · USA
Luna built his career through American television roles through the 2010s, including a starring role in a Marvel series, before landing one of the franchise's most technically demanding villain roles.
He played the Rev-9, a Terminator that can split its metal endoskeleton from its liquid-metal shell to attack as two threats at once — the franchise's nastiest upgrade yet. Already known for television roles including Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., he trained extensively to perform much of the character's physically demanding action choreography himself.
The Rev-9's dual-threat design was created specifically to escalate beyond the T-1000's liquid-metal abilities from earlier films, giving Luna two entirely different physical performances to sustain within a single role.
