Christopher McDonald

McDonald trained at New York's Neighborhood Playhouse before working steadily in television and film through the 1980s, gradually developing a specialty in loud, memorably obnoxious comic antagonists.

He voiced Kent Mansley, the paranoid government agent whose Cold War panic drives The Iron Giant's central conflict — a smaller, meaner cousin of his Shooter McGavin persona. He brought that same comic pettiness to a character whose paranoia has much higher stakes.

He has continued a prolific career as a character actor across film and television, remaining one of the most reliable comic antagonists of his generation.
