Played David Nix, Tomorrowland's governor — a former idealist who has given up on humanity's future entirely, and the film's most unexpectedly persuasive antagonist. Already globally famous for his lead role on the television series House, he took on a rare film villain role built more around weary philosophical conviction than overt menace. He has continued to move between film, television and directing in the years since.
